ECU City Launch Film

The Brief

Create a stylish, visually engaging film that showcases the size and scale and the design of spaces throughout the building. The film needed to generate excitement and awareness leading into launch and deliver a high quality result within a tight turnaround.

How we did it

The ECU team wanted something cinematic and design driven, and shared reference videos that set a very high benchmark visually. At the same time, there was uncertainty around whether that level of quality could be achieved within the timeframe. We approached the project as a fast paced, visually led walkthrough of the campus, designed to highlight both scale and detail. The focus was on creating something visually striking while still clearly communicating what the campus offers. We used movement to reveal size and scale, combining drone and gimbal work allowed us to move seamlessly through the building and showcase its scale and flow. The pacing, shot selection and structure were all built to hold attention and generate engagement on social platforms. The entire production was executed on a single day with a two person production crew. Post production focused on delivering a polished, high energy final piece that matched the ambition of the brief. It delivered a cinematic, high quality result within a tight timeframe and has since been used extensively across online platforms to promote the campus. This project proves that high end results do not require large crews or long timelines. With the right approach, planning and execution, it is possible to deliver premium content quickly and efficiently without compromising on quality.
