Induction Video
Create an engaging, informative welcome video for new starters at BHP—one that captures the essence of life at BHP villages and sets the tone for a safe, inclusive, and positive experience from day one. The video needed to reflect BHP's culture while delivering practical information in a visually dynamic and relatable way.
The script was developed in-house in close consultation with BHP—a process made possible by our years of experience filming across multiple BHP sites. With the script locked, a four-person team from Alucinor and BHP travelled to two key BHP villages to film a full 'shoot-through' version: a simplified handheld take of the entire film, captured without lighting or additional gear. This early edit gave the client a clear preview of structure, tone, and flow, allowing for minor refinements before the main shoot. For final production, we took an eight-person crew to the Pilbara. To reduce air freight and increase flexibility, Dean and Shane drove from Perth with key equipment. Filming took place in peak summer, so we focused on early morning and late afternoon shoots to make the most of the light—and the temperature. The result is a confident, welcoming film that gives new starters a genuine sense of life in a BHP village—and what it means to be part of the BHP community.
