We were absolutely stoked to be asked by Dassault Systmes to fly to Melbourne to shoot and edit videos highlighting their journey at the 2018 IMARC conference. This was a unique project in that we would shoot interviews, stills and b-roll in the morning and then cut a video in the afternoon for Dassault to share the video and images on social channels that night. It was a lot of fun having this quick turn around.
It was also a great opportunity for us to work with our new Fuji X-T3 and Ronin-S combo. It provided a lot of flexibility in steady camera movement and allowed us to get dynamic shots we weren’t able to get previously. I stayed mainly with the xt3 shooting wides and roaming shots and Dean would be getting mids and close-ups on the Red.
It was a very enjoyable few days in Melbourne despite the fact Dean continues to allocate himself the window seat on planes and I get stuck in the middle of the row.
