Camera duo Dean Butler and Shane Piggott form the backbone of Alucinors video production team and the crew expands from there, determined by the needs of each shoot.
Together we have extensive experience shooting across multiple formats including Arri, Canon EOS cameras and Sony but primarily shoot on our own RED digital cinema cameras. Piggott tends to take charge of gimbal duties (MOVI’s and RONIN’s) whilst Butler is on a mission to bring handheld back… and sticks, let’s not forget sticks!
As a production team working for you, our focus is on understanding your story so we can plan and shoot the best possible shots that serve your story, add production value and bring your vision to life.
We have a vast network of specialists whom we bring on board on a project by project basis when we need the firepower (or special skills). These include CASA certified drone operators flying a RED camera, Make-up artists, Camera assistants, AD’s, Broadcast soundos and more.
We shoot… everything — Narrative projects including TVC’s, music videos, interviews with broadcast quality sound, testimonials, drone & aerial videography, live events, time-lapse, general videography, chroma key (green screen), documentary and national/international broadcast television segments.
Our RED Scarlet-w enables us to shoot in 16bit R3d or ProRes 10 bit (1080p, 4k and 5k resolution) and Fuji’s segment leading xt3 mirrorless 10bit camera records 10bit prores to the Atomos Ninja (Great combo with our Ronin-S!).
When these cameras are not the preferred option, we’ll hire in the best camera for the job from our friends at Location Equipment – Alexa Mini, Amira, C300mkII, C200, Sony Fs7, Fs5 (and plenty more options).
If you require a crew to shoot offshore we have team members with up to date BOSIET, CA-EBS and MSIC certifications.
SOUND MIXING & VFX
We’ll keep you in the loop throughout the post-production process, listen and action your feedback to deliver the final product you want. We can work with a multitude of digital video formats and are able to turn around projects FAST when needed.
Our purpose built post production suite Features a 140” projection screen, surround sound, 10-bit monitoring for colour correction and grading, two FAST Adobe CC based workstations, Davinci Resolve 15, G-tech Shuttle XL RAID, a coffee machine and a Nintendo 64 complete with Mariokart. We grew up in the 90’s.
Our in house kit gets us through on plenty of projects, for everything else we hire from Location Equipment.
